
Hi Ladies! Please welcome Petra, a passionate and highly skilled Pilates instructor with over 9 years of experience. She is going to start Pilates classes in English from September in Bliss Yoga Salzburg Studio. Petra is an advanced level Stott reformer-, mat and post-prenatal Pilates instructor. Petra ensures a perfect balance between prevention and exertion, kindness, attentiveness, and challenge, pushing boundaries. She is an understanding, supportive, and motivating instructor. Read more about Petra’s Pilates journey and passion: 12 years ago, at the age of 30, Pilates did wonders for my body and mind, when it seemed nothing would ever be the same. Pilates has not only restored my body, it has given me tremendous mental strength, vital energy and freshness. Through Pilates I can live again the life I dreamed of as a child. Sport has been an active part of my life since I was 3 years old (competitive swimmer, athlete, kayaking, and 12 years of folk dancing). At 17, due to a nearly fatal car accident, I had to quit all sports and nearly lost my right arm. After a long rehabilitation, unfortunately, my body was never the same. By the age of 30, I had three herniated discs among many other issues. The doctors' best advice was to stop all sports, attend physical therapy, and walk if I still wanted to have children and avoid completely becoming incapacitated. It was then that I decided that many more experiences awaited me. With Pilates, I brought myself back to a level that the doctors never expected. Today, I am the proud mother of a wonderful 5-year-old girl. I run again, and I engage in various sports such as rock climbing, kayaking, and it is evident in the pool that I once had a connection to swimming. I am an advanced-level Stott Reformer and Mat Pilates instructor. I chose this approach because it offers a strong focus on preventive and rehabilitative methods, along with continuous opportunities for further training. I had the privilege of working as an intern with physical therapists, from whom I learned a great deal about various musculoskeletal conditions. Prevention and taking individual needs into account are very important to me in my classes. I believe in the transformative power of Pilates, not just for the physical body but for overall well-being. My classes focus on building core strength, improving flexibility, and enhancing mind-body connection. Whether you are a beginner looking to start your Pilates journey or an experienced practitioner seeking to deepen your practice, I am here to guide and support you every step of the way.
